House Expectations


Our homes are built on structure, accountability, and mutual respect. These expectations help create a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environment for everyone. 


While core expectations remain consistent, some guidelines

(such as curfews, electronics use, and daily routines) may vary slightly between homes. 


Prospective residents are encouraged to connect with management for specific details prior to intake, and a full overview of house rules will be provided during the intake process.



Substance Free


Residents are required to maintain abstinence from all substances while in the home.

A relapse will result in immediate discharge or a transition plan, as determined with the House Manager. When possible, we will support residents in accessing additional care or returning to treatment.



Respect

All residents are expected to treat fellow residents, themselves, and staff with respect. Verbal and or physical abuse/harrassment of any kind will not be tolerated. 


Participation & Engagement 

Residents are expected to attend all house programming and in house groups. A set number of rexovery meetings outside the home is require. Absences must be approved in advance by the House Manager. 


Boundaries & Communication 


It is each individuals responsibility to communicate boundaries and respect the boundaries of others. Residents are encouraged to address concerns directly and respectfully. Clients should refrain from gossip & unnecessary involvement of additional parties. 


Curfews

Curfew times vary by home and will be clearly communicated prior to client arrival. Leaving early or returning past curfew must be approved in advance. 




Overnight Passes

Residents may request overnight passes after the first 30 days. General guideline is up to 3 nights per month but additional nights may be considered on a case by case basis.



Cleanliness

Residents are expected to clean up after themselves and contribute to maintaining a clean living enviroment for all. Weekly chore assignments must be completed. 

Beds must be made each morning and clients are responsible for laundering bedding weekly.


Bedrooms must be kept clean and tidy and will be checked regularly by management. 


Food is to be eaten in the kitchen or dining room only. Clients are responsible for cleaning the kitchen after use. 


Noise and Environment

Clients are expected to be respectful of noise levels, especially in the evening. Individual houses may have specific rules regarding 'Quiet Hours'.


Smoking or Vaping 

Smoking and vaping are allowing only in the designated outdoor space. Smoking or vaping inside the home is strictly prohibited.


Guests and Visitors

To maintain confidentiality and the comfort of all, clients are not permitted to have guests in the home.



Pets


Medication

Clients must take all medications as prescribed by their physician. Medications must not be adjusted or changed without medical guidance.









Prohibited Items

Pets are not permitted in the home.

We are happy to connect residents with resources to support finding temporary care or foster arrangements for their pets while in our homes.

Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited. Items containing drugs or alcohol, as well as clothing that promotes or references drugs, alcohol, or violence, are not permitted. Clients are asked not to bring additional furniture into the home or personal bedding unless purchased new. 



Suitcase Limit

Clients are asked not to bring more than 2 large suitcases or the equivalent of that. Clients arriving with an excess may be asked to make storage arrangements for additional items.



Violence, Property Damage or Theft 

Violence, property damage or theft will not be tolerated. Clients found to have damaged property may be held responsible for costs associated with repairs/replacement. Any acts of theft will be reported to law enforcement.



Electronics

Clients are permitted use of their own personal electronics (cell phones, laptops, ipads) however we ask that clients do not bring phones to any house programming. Individual houses may have restrictions regarding noise or areas of use. 



Transactions

No transactions of any kind between residents. This includes lending or barrowing money, sharing, selling or trading of cigarettes, services or any items.
